Appropriate Body

Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub offers ECT Appropriate Body services and currently works with over 900 ECTs per academic year. Working with our current, and growing number of partnership schools we are delighted to be able to present an offer that draws on our expertise in teacher development, our exceptional administrative support and our established body of school to school support partners.

Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub can provide Appropriate Body services for an ECT at any stage of their two year induction. We work with schools throughout the teacher induction to ensure that the Early Career Teacher (ECT) has access to their statutory entitlements, and that the ECT has met the teaching standards. We also support the delivery of the ITTECF programme.

Thames Gateway Teaching School Hub recommends that schools follow a fully funded provider led induction programme with one of the 4 national providers.

Our Appropriate Body (AB) service for completing the full induction programme is £175 per year per ECT; £350 per ECT for the full two years.

We are able to offer AB work for schools wishing to follow a school led ITTECF  programme and are happy to discuss costs associated with this.
