Faye McGill
Director
Faye has worked in Kent schools since 2002, working as a senior leader in Maidstone and Principal of a Secondary Academy in Dartford. She is excited to be joining the Thames Gateway team, and supporting and challenging teachers in their professional development.
JODIE Byham
Head of early Career Teacher Training
Jodie has worked in schools across the South East and has been an active member of leadership teams across a variety of contexts. She has a passion for teaching and supporting others to deliver the highest standards of education to young people. This work will continue in her role as Head of Early Career Teaching.
Catherine Root
Induction Co-ordinator
Catherine has worked in schools across Kent and Sussex and has been an active member of leadership teams with a particular focus on teaching and learning, and staff development. As ECT Induction Coordinator, she is privileged to work with colleagues in schools to support teachers’ practitioner journeys and to achieve the highest quality educational experiences for young people.
Anna Sheldrick
Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator
Anna has worked in schools in Wales, the North East and South East. She has held various whole-school roles focusing on Teaching and Learning and led on teacher training and ECTs more recently. Anna is thrilled to be joining the Thames Gateway team and working on driving staff professional development further for the good of young people.
Sarah Smith
Head of Administration & Communications
Sarah joined MTSA in September 2012 as an administration assistant. As the Teaching School grew, her role and responsibilities have grown over the years and she is now Head of Administration & Communications across The Leigh Institute. Sarah was also involved in the initial formation of the Kent & Medway Maths Hub. Sarah has close links with schools and networks through the co-ordination of ITT & SLE interviews and CPD events.
Sophie Jarrett
Head of ECT Admin
Sophie joined Thames Gateway in September 2021 as a Business Apprentice. Sophie has previously attended a Leigh Academy Trust school and is now working to support the work of the Thames Gateway TSH.
Grace Peacock
Business Administrator Apprentice
Grace joined Thames Gateway in July 2024 as a Business Apprentice. Grace has previously attended a Leigh Academy Trust school and is now working to support the work of the Thames Gateway TSH, primarily with supporting the NPQ programmes.
Paige Phillips
Business Administrator Apprentice
Paige joined Thames Gateway in January 2025 as a Business Apprentice. Paige has previously attended a Leigh Academy Trust school and is now working to support the work of the Thames Gateway TSH, primarily with supporting Appropriate Body and ECTs.
Emma Henthorn
Finance Lead
Emma joined the team in September 2017, Emma supports the Teaching School Hub and Kent & Medway Maths Hub in the management of our finances and budget setting.
Emma Langford
Finance Assistant
Emma joined the team in April 2022, Emma works with the Finance Manager to support the Teaching School Hub and Kent & Medway Maths Hub in the management of our finances.
